First off this is a fantatsic sounding mix. Very well done matrix. Good balance and clarity. There are some brief moments of "Hey, dude, I'm here to hear the band, not you.", but it's not too bad. Now, on to the music. This is yet another Spring 77 smoker with some amazing versions of the classics; the Sugaree is silly good, the Eyes is tremendous, but what got me was the NFA. NFA is normally a tune that I am ho-hum about, but not this one. Jerry takes what can be an ordinary tune and just rips it to pieces. The second jam break has him, Bobbie and drums just go to places not meant for the weak of heart. I just about rear-ended a Hyundai on the ride home (there you go, folks, I threw up a hanging curveball to anyone who is feeling especially 5th grade) and nearly the same to a Range Rover thsi AM.
In Webster's Dictionary next to the entry for "Bliss" is a link to this tune. If it looks like Friday just wont come and work is piling up faster than Rep. Weiner's bullshit, click on the NFA and just, as Van so nicely put it, let your soul and spirit fly into the Mystic.

Great show SDH. Work at my desk stopped for a good 15 minutes as I drifted away on a Sugaree breeze. Prefer the Jay Ashley myself, but no matter.

Is anyone else missing the Pause/Play - Volume controls on the 'Black Box' (for want of the correct terminology) ?

5/26 stands out for me for having a rare for the time, and the next few years, really, High Time.

10/6/77's NFA should not be avoided. Hopefully due to the new source/s people will give it a chance and won't write this one off as that "hoax show." I know I did for a long time, but when I finally checked it out, I was impressed. The NFA is as super fast as the Eyes from 10/29 is slow. 3 interesting sort of role reversal notables of that Fall.

That show also got one of the nicest Looks Like Rain I`ve heard. Thanks for the pointer.

Hey SDH, check out the NFA from this show (TJI). This is a fast 1970 style version played in 1977 and is guaranteed to destroy your desk. It's crazy good.

Didn't mean to leave you high and dry yesterday afternoon SDH. (Why does that expression have a negative connotation? Stone cold sober and wet?) Anyways, I had life to do. A harpy or two had you in their sights it seems. Oh well, we move on.

No worries about the whole "high and dry" thing. Yeah, I took some heat yesterday, but some of it was deserved, just not in such a hostile fashion.

Forum lynch mob?

And they say we have no musical talent:

(am I the only one who really hates getting that perm?)

Forum lynch mob? I'll leave my comments under Jacky's.

I don't think the band could get away with that name today. Ah, '80's hair faux metal bands. When 'music' truly sucked.
